If your thumb is anything other than green, consider low-maintenance floral arrangements, made by your own hand, out of metal. Guaranteed not to die, wilt, or fade (no guarantees with regards to rust, however) your significant other will in no time offer your services to all of their friends and have your order books full. Be careful, here: once you are a known “florist” your greenhouse is quickly emptied, and you will be making roses for years. On a practical level, this is the perfect “in” for getting the mini-van parked permanently in the driveway. Ahhh. Sweet bliss! Now look at all the room for tooling. Imagine all this with permission.
If straight lines don’t come easily to you, this course is for you. Texture, shape, form and your aesthetic sense come to the fore in this class. As the week progresses you may move into more abstract floral and organic shapes and compositions, and I will be happy to explain what “tendrillybits” means. We will be forge welding throughout to attach leaves, etc. This is an excellent follow-up course to Mastering the Fundamentals, which I strongly recommend taking first.
This class can be either a three or a five day class. Course content varies accordingly.
